Shannon Rodgers, Director – Railcar Services, joined Tealinc in 2019 with over 20 years of rail industry experience.

“Shannon has become an exceptional team member here at Tealinc and I am confident she will continue providing tremendous value to our customers as we maintain our industry leading customer service,” commented Julie Mink, Tealinc President. “Shannon efficiently manages all of Tealinc customer support projects including Rolling Stock Management Agreements and supporting new and existing customers with daily/weekly/monthly administrative services, equipment tracing, expediting & fleet reporting, maintenance & repair management, rate research, etc. Additionally she has developed and implemented new processes to improve and drive efficiency and productivity both internally and externally for Tealinc. She has built and implemented mechanical support from an elaborate rail mechanical network to resolve and respond to any mechanical issues, preventative maintenance program needs and railcar repairs required to support Tealinc private railcar fleet and the rail fleet of the customers we serve.”

Shannon was born in South Carolina but was raised in Florida where she graduated Florida Eastern College with a degree in Office System Technologies.

In 1999, Shannon moved to Pennsylvania where she started her career in the rail industry with The Everett Railroad Company as an Office Manager/Customer Service Representative and then later became a Freight Agent. Working for a shortline railroad gave Shannon a strong foundation and passion for the rail industry. While working for The Everett Railroad Company, Shannon handled many different responsibilities and learned a lot about railroad operations. Shannon’s responsibilities included preparing train crew paperwork, handling specialized billing for rail freight, preparing and submitting annual billing of license and lease property agreements, monitoring train movements, processing payroll, creating and analyzing reports for history of movements, commodity changes and fuel consumption, tracking customer’s train car locations and monitoring shipments.

In 2015, Shannon joined Watco Companies as a Supply Chain Coordinator providing tracking and tracing services for various types of clients, many times creating customized reports based on clients’ specific needs. This caused Shannon to formulate a system using Microsoft Access database to monitor inbound and outbound railcar shipments and the system allows users to create historical reports based on transit times, delays, shipments based on commodity, contract numbers, etc. At Watco, Shannon also held a position as a Rail Fleet Specialist where she controlled Railinc permissions for car owners, handling lines, running repair agents, and repair shops; handled all DDCT incidents for over 105 different marks, monitored cars through the shopping process to ensure timely processing, created, renewed and monitored UMLER, LOA’s and OT-5 for car owners and handling lines, etc.

In 2023, Shannon fulfilled her dream of moving back to sunny Florida where she now resides and operates out of the Tealinc – Florida office full-time.

In Shannon’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her grandsons, going to the beach, and trying to win contests! (Talk with her about that last one!)
