I hope everyone is having a great start to their summer. Those in the southern regions have been enjoying cooler temperatures than usual, while those in the northeast have experienced an unusually warm start to the season. Living in central Texas, I’ve grown accustomed to enduring extended periods of scorching days over 100 degrees. Like clockwork, around early August, my wife starts suggesting we move to Kentucky.  With its mild climate, home to my favorite bourbon, and being the birthplace of the Corvette, it doesn’t sound like that bad of an idea.

Following an extended 4th of July weekend, we’re gearing up for the summer MARS rail conference at Lake Geneva.
